How will you describe the world we live in today?

If you ask us, it is very materialistic world and a lot of people are after fame, money or both. People compete for recognition and supremacy to the point that they disregard their moral compass, hurting and undermining others along the way. Mind you, they are not just doing this to people, but also to animals and it’s disgusting how they ruthlessly make actions and decisions that make others suffer. The “I and myself” mentality is abhorring: What do I get from this? Will this make me famous? How much will I get from this deal? Will this get me promoted? Is this good for my business? I need to get re-elected and I am doing it at all cost! You have to balance your spiritual / moral personality with your personal goals.

It’s sad that we humans have turned into this. We lost our humanity. We turned away from spirituality because we value position, money, fame and outward recognition without any thought of others.

If people can only go beyond what’s in it for themselves, and live with spirituality by cultivating their higher spiritual center and enrich their lives with God’s positive character attributes then the world and humanity will be in a much better place than it is now. If we start searching for wisdom, compassion and empathy, it wouldn’t be so hard to be a better human being because we acknowledge the goodness in all things.

By being a moral, spiritual person, it can save your acceptable personal agendas which we all have. For example, if you have immoral traits such as drinking, drugs, or involved in embezzlements and involved in illegal or bad habits, it can get you in trouble and ruin your personal agenda.

With this, let us hope that we balance our personal agenda and begin to see ourselves as part of the grand scheme of life.
